Studio Rental

  • Private bathroom accessible via external entry. We have plans to install a shower in the future. 

  • Unlimited parking outside the studio for scooters, and unlimited parking for cars and other vehicles 4 minutes walk away at either Penno’s Wharf or Market Wharf. 

  • Closest vehicular access for equipment drop off is 20m away on Water St, no stairs to negotiate between the road and our building. 

  • Waterfront access to Somer’s Wharf at our back door

​Studio & Lounge

​SIZE: 478 square foot / 44 square metres

LIGHTING: Dimmer lights with 3 separate controls. 

WINDOWS: Large frosted windows, abundant daylight. 

FLOORING: Wooden floorboards, rug in lounge can be removed.

The room is equipped with the following items that may be used at no extra cost: 

  • Hanging racks for clothing, shoe racks and shelves for storage of personal items. 

  • Kitchenette with toaster oven, single gas burner stove, kettle, small fridge, large deep set sink and washing equipment

  • Yoga equipment including mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, resistance bands, pilates balls, weighted squish balls, incense, essential oils.

  • Life Size Medical Model Human Skeleton for Teaching Anatomy & Biomechanics, contains ligaments, all origin and insertion points of muscles, spinal nerves, numbered pieces, on a wheeled stand that makes it easy to move around. 

  • Tripod with attachments for SLR cameras and smart phones, Rode Wireless ME Mic with 2 Transmitter Mics

  • Bluetooth Speaker 

  • Whiteboard, blackboard & pens 

 

Often used for: Day-long workshops and training, including yoga, massage, dance, sound healing, conferences, lectures, and sharing circles, live stream or record your own movement classes.

 

Maximum Capacity: 15 yoga mats including the teacher, or 35 seats 

Standard Capacity: 12 yoga mats including the teacher, or 25 seats

Second Floor & Balcony

Our smallest room, the second floor is cosy while still feeling spacious due to the high ceilings, glass panel door opening to the private balcony, and large mirror reflecting the open views over St George’s harbour which is just a few feet away. This room is half a set of stairs up from the studio. 

 

It is our most popular room for couples movement sessions or treatments such as reiki or massage, and gatherings in small groups of up to 6 people.

 

SIZE: 160 square foot / 15 square metres

LIGHTING: Your choice - ceiling downlights or lamps

WINDOWS: Lower half is frosted, top half is clear, abundant daylight.

FLOORING: Rug on painted concrete (rug can be removed)

The room is equipped with the following items that may be used at no extra cost: 

  • Small Balcony overlooking St George’s Harbour (10 sq foot / 1 square metre)

  • Large coffee table, with cushions and bolsters to support 6 people sitting on the floor

  • Small round table and 2 chairs 

  • Tripod with attachments for SLR cameras and smart phones, Rode Wireless ME Mic with 2 Transmitters

  • Bluetooth Speaker 

  • Whiteboard, blackboard & pens 

  • Space can be cleared of all furniture and artwork at your request

Often used for: Small group meetings, lectures and consultations, couples yoga classes and massage, reiki or sound healing treatments.

Maximum Capacity: 12 Person meeting or 4 Clients plus instructor/therapist for treatments and movement sessions
Standard Capacity: 6 Person meeting or 2 Clients plus instructor/therapist for treatments and movement sessions.

Pricing

Studio & Lounge

Hourly Rates 

Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $80 / hour

Weekend Daytime (Friday - Sunday, end by 6pm): $100 / hour

Weekend Nighttime (Friday - Sunday after 6pm): $120 / hour

For bookings UNDER 4 hours, we include an additional 15 min for set up & 15 min for pack up.

For bookings OVER 4 hours, we include an additional 30 min for set up & 30 min for pack up.

Subsequent time will be charged per hour or part thereof.

Full Day

Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $400 / flat rate for use between 9am and 5pm

Weekend (Friday - Sunday): $500 / flat rate for use between 10am and 6pm

 

Multi-Day

$700 per 24 hour period, multiplied by the number of days that you require.

Add the rate for the Studio & Lounge to the rate for the Second Floor & Balcony. Multiday use is $900 per 24 hours.

Instructors Only

​

If you are a qualified instructor, looking to hire our space to teach or practice, we offer you a discount of 50% off the Studio & Lounge rates listed above, excluding multi-day use. No subletting or subcontracting to other instructors..​

​

If you would like us to share your offering with our community via a mailout and social media post, this support is available in exchange for your willingness to provide a preferential rate to our email subscribers. We need 1 months notice in advance of the class/workshop to schedule this in.​

 

We are always looking to expand our community and welcome both local & visiting instructors to reach out if you’re interested in joining our team. Our instructors have complimentary and unlimited access to the space for their personal practice when it is not being used for business purposes.

Studio Rental Terms & Conditions

​​Deposits / Refunds / Cancelations

​To secure the space, a deposit equivalent to the first hour of usage is required at the time of booking. We do not provide refunds, please consider this prior to making any payment to us. Full payment must be received in advance for all rentals. â€‹For Full Day and Multi-Day Rental, payment is due in full no later than 2 weeks before the rental start date. 

 

We kindly request that any cancellations be communicated to us as soon as possible.

Conditions of Rental 

  1. Rental Eligibility: The Waterfront Hub (the Hub) may be rented through Explore In, by qualified instructors, practitioners, or organizations aligned with holistic wellbeing values.

  2. Booking & Payment: Full payment is required to confirm a booking. Payment confirms understanding and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Bookings are non-refundable. Changes must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.

  3. Use of Space: The Hub may only be used for the intended purpose agreed upon at the time of booking. Subletting or unauthorized events are strictly prohibited.

  4. Duration & Access: Renters may access the studio only during the booked time slot, including setup and breakdown. Early entry or late exit may incur additional charges.

  5. Cleanliness & Damages: Renters must leave the Hub and equipment as they found it Any damage to Hub property or equipment will be charged to the renter. The Waterfront Hub is a non-smoking building. If smoking during the hire period, move away from the entrance and exit points and ensure the wind does not carry smoke into the building.

  6. Liability: Explore In is not liable for injury, loss, or damage during the rental period.

  7. Insurance & Permits: Renters may be required to provide proof of public liability insurance and any necessary permits depending on the nature of the rental.

  8. Noise & Behavior: Between 10pm & 7am, sound from inside the building should not be heard outside of it. Disruptive behavior may result in rental termination without refund.

  9. Studio Equipment: Use of studio equipment (e.g. mats, props, electronics) must be approved in advance. All items must be returned in original condition.

  10. Termination of Agreement: If the Renter does not comply with these Terms & Conditions, the rental will be terminated without refund.
