The Fine Print

When you make a booking with us, regardless of the service, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions including our Booking Policy, Refund Policy, Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Security Policy.

 

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to change or cancel your reservation. This page shows you what to do and under which circumstances we may be able to accommodate any change or cancellation after you book.

 

Booking Policy

You can receive instant confirmation of a booking by using our website to request and pay for a service with a bank card. We also accept requests via phone or email. We cannot guarantee your booking until we have confirmed receipt of your payment. 

 

We appreciate you advising us of any changes as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to answer the questions on our booking form openly and honestly at the time of booking. If you forgot to mention something on your booking form, reach out via any of the contact details at the bottom of this page.

If you need to change your booking, contact us as soon as possible via email to hello@explorein.net. Changes are not accepted within 24 hours of the commencement of the first service. 

​

We recommend that you and your group members arrange your own insurance with a reputable company prior to participating in any service.

​

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We do not work with children under 13. 

​

If you would like a service in a language other than English, we may be able to assign a bilingual teacher. We currently have bilingual teachers in Spanish, French and Italian. 

​

If you book a service that involves activities in water, you should know how to swim and feel comfortable in water. Generally, small water crafts such as Paddleboards, Kayaks, etc are weight-rated by individual manufacturers. If you have a concern around whether an experience is suitable for you, please contact us before booking. Any personal property taken onto the water is at your own risk, we do not provide dry bags.

Refund Policy

Please read the service description and consider your plans carefully before you purchase. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

If you need to cancel your booking:

Please notify us as soon as possible, via email to hello@explorein.net. If you advise us of a cancelation more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time of your class, we will transfer your booking to the next available class. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are not transferable and you will not be eligible for a refund.

 

No Show:

If you do not show up for your scheduled service without prior notification, you will not be eligible for a refund. There are no refunds for portions of a service a client chooses not to participate in. 

 

Cancellation by Explore In:

We reserve the right to cancel a service due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances that would make the service unsafe or impossible. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a service for reasons beyond our control, we will notify you as soon as possible and we will either change to a more-suitable service of similar intensity and focus, or offer other service option so you don't miss out on tuning in. If it is not possible for us to offer a service on the schedule you originally booked, we will offer to rebook you when we next become available. Our team on the ground in Bermuda helps us make this final decision. In the unlikely event that no service is run, you will be issued with a voucher for the full amount you paid, which you can use on any of our services. This voucher is valid for 1 month from the date of issue and is transferable.

When completing a booking you are agreeing to our Refund Policy.

Disclaimer

I/we understand that there are inherent risks involved with my participation in classes, workshops, practices, events, etc (collectively known as Services) offered by Explore In, including but not limited to injury, equipment failure, perils of the sea, acts of other participants, and adverse road, weather and sea conditions, and I/we hereby assume such risks. I/we understand that I/we have duty to exercise reasonable care for my own safety and I/we agree to do so.

I/we recognize that I/we must be in adequate physical and mental health to participate in the Service. I/we understand that the Services may require physical exertion, walking, cycling, swimming, riding on a boat, breathwork, yoga, etc as per the description on this website and I/we represent and warrant that I/we am/are physically fit enough to participate. I/we have no medical condition which would prevent my full participation. I/we recognize that the Services may cause or aggravate a physical injury or medical condition.

 

I/we understand that it is my/our responsibility to consult with a physician before my participation in the Services. If I/we have done so, I/we have taken the physician’s advice. I/we understand my physical limitations and I am/we are sufficiently self-aware to stop or modify my/our participation in any Service before I/we become injured or aggravate a pre-existing injury. I/we understand that Explore In reserves the right to refuse my participation in any Service or part thereof on medical, fitness or any other grounds. I/we will not hold Explore In and/or their employees, agents or other associated personnel responsible if I/we am injured as a result of any problems (medical, accidental or otherwise) which occur while participating in a Serice.

I/we fully understand that some Explore In experiences involve the use of boats, boards and other water craft and they have limited medical facilities on board. I/we understand that in the event of illness or injury, appropriate care must be summoned by radio and treatment will be delayed until I/we can be transported to a proper medical facility. I/we agree in advance to these conditions.

Explore In has made no representations to me, implied or otherwise, that they or their employees, crew, or subcontractors can or will perform safe rescues or render first aid.  In the event I/we show signs of distress or call for aid, I/we would like assistance and will not hold Explore In, their employees, crew, subcontractors or passengers responsible for their actions in attempting the performance or rescue of first aid.

I/we agree to forever discharge and release Explore In, its owners, employees, crew, agents, and affiliates, from any and all responsibility or liability for any and all injuries or damages. I/we agree not to make a claim against or sue any of the above parties for injuries or damages whether they arise or result from any negligence or other liability, even in cases of gross negligence. I/we further specifically agree, on behalf of myself, my heirs and assigns, to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties for any and all causes of action arising as a consequence of any incidents which might occur as a consequence of my/our participation in any activities with or involving the released parties.

I am/we are aware that by making a booking I am/we are agreeing to this Disclaimer.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Explore In collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the https://www.explorein.net website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Explore In.

We may collect personally identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, place an order, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

 

Non-personal identification information:

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer even if is used for video games and reading OW-News online, and also technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

Explore In collects and uses Users personal information for the following purposes:

• To personalize user experience: We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.

• To improve our Site: We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

• To improve customer service: Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.

• To administer a content, promotion, survey or other Site feature: To send Users information they agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them.

• To send periodic emails: The email address Users provide for order processing, will only be used to send them information and updates pertaining to their order. It may also be used to respond to their inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, they may do so by contacting us via our Site.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Explore In has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.
Our Service may give You the ability to delete certain information about You from within the Service.
