Service Description

Join us for a workshop inspired by the delicate yet powerful qualities of the lotus flower in an intimate human experience combining art and mindful movement. As you make your very own lotus flower guided by a specialist paper artist who is also a yoga practitioner, the group discussion will move towards understanding the wisdom the lotus flower offers us in the areas of resilience, rebirth and transformation. A longstanding symbol of yoga, your completed lotus flower will sit at the end of your mat during a complete Vinyasa yoga practice, guided by Mel, an experienced and qualified teacher, with whom you have shared the first half of the session. The studio will be warmed by the calming glow of LED tea lights placed at the centre of the lotus flower of each participant. We trust in Mel's abilities to read and work with any group and to provide a practice appropriate for all levels of practitioners on that given day. Breath with movement is assured and you will leave feeling that you have integrated what you needed from the wisdom of the lotus flower, and deepened the connection within yourself and with those around you. Your lotus flower will travel with you at the end of the day, a long lasting reminder of how worthwhile it is to cultivate intention within community.
